Dehradun WIC India Toastmasters Club conducted its 100th meeting : 

Dehradun WIC India Toastmasters Club conducted its 100th meeting on 4th June 2017, achieving a significant milestone. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. The organization supports over 345,000 members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,900 clubs in 142 countries.  All persons who are 18 years and above are eligible to join. www.toastmasters.org

The founding Club President Harry Sethi has now been elected to serve as Division Director for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Harry said, “The journey from one to hundred has been very enriching. It has mostly been joyful but some pain as well. That is what life is all about. You win some, you lose some. I thank my fellow Toastmasters, WIC and the local press for supporting this journey.”

The meeting was attended by over 75 Toastmasters and guests. The meeting was presided over by TM Manish Jain, President of Dehradun WIC India Toastmasters Club. He said, “It is a proud moment for us. Today the club conducted its 100th meeting. Our fellow Toastmaster Rahul Bhatnagar delivered his 50th continuous speech. We are proud of Rahul Bhatnagar.”

TM B P Kothiyal, President of Doon Valley Toastmasters club said, “The credit for bringing Toastmasters to Dehradun goes entirely to Harry Sethi. His elevation to the position of Division Director is a tribute to his unflinching dedication, devotion, untiring efforts and belief in himself. We wish the very best to Harry Sethi in his future endeavors.”

Hundredth meeting of the club was conducted by Saurabh Bhatnagar as Toastmaster of the Day. TM Manish Jain conducted the impromptu section of the meeting as the Table Topic Master. Many guests and Toastmasters got an opportunity to speak on a topic given by the TTM. TM Reshu Singhal was General Evaluator. Dr. Meenu Goyal Chaudhary, Vikas Kumar, Shubham Gupta and Karan Tyagi were auxiliary role players. The prepared speeches were evaluated by Dr. Tejasvi Kamra, Harry Sethi and Himanshu joshi.

TM Rahul Bhatnagar delivered his 50th speech on 50th day of his continuous speeches in Toastmasters clubs in NCR Delhi, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand. This is a record in the history of Toastmasters International. Rahul narrated his journey of delivering 50 speeches in 50 continuous 50 days.

The meeting was conducted in the auditorium of RLEK. Chairperson of RLEK, Padma Shree Avadash Kaushal gave away the prizes to the winners. After the meeting, TM Richa Jain presented a fun filled evening of dance, music, singing and entertainment activities.
